The Reading Township Planning Commission was established November 14, 2005 when the “Master Plan” for Reading Township was adopted following the Michigan Planning Commission Enabling Act. Its’ purpose is to supervise and implement changes to the Zoning Ordinance of Reading Township, under the direction of the Reading Township Board.
The Planning Commission is comprised of four residents of Reading Township and one member of the Reading Township Board. Meetings of the Planning Commission are scheduled not less than four times per year and special meetings may be called by the Chairperson or two other members upon request.
